The Original Murder Company
Murder Mystery events for great teambuilding!
Murder mysteries were initially provided by The Original Murder Company purely as entertainment. Having seen the staged, theatrical-type murder mystery evenings & weekends provided by other companies, we were convinced of the market for a more realistic murder mystery experience.
Witness Conference

So we started The Original Murder Company, with realistic storylines which included pathology, forensic evidence, the opportunity to closely view the murder scene and active support for the participants from former senior detectives.
The way our events are put together make them unbeatable for companies wishing to develop their employees' ability to work together. Here's how...
- The guests/employees - participants form teams and become the investigating officers for the murder. The scene is set and a detailed video is shown of the murder location, the body and any obvious clues that would be apparent to murder squad investigators. During the course of the programme they interview witnesses/suspects to establish what exactly happened and who was responsible for the crime.
The DI and his team

- The role-players - the witnesses or suspects are not professional actors and will respond in much the same way as real witnesses and suspects in genuine enquiries. They are frequently unaware of the whole story and only the murderer/s will know who actually committed the crime.
-
The aims - the specific teambuilding skills tested are the ability to contribute to team effort; to communicate effectively; to influence team thinking; to concentrate; to assess value of information; to work under time constraints and withstand pressure and to relate to others. The personal characteristics tested are commitment; enthusiasm; tolerance; compassion; authority; logical thinking; discipline; perception and judgement.
This type of event is particularly appropriate for organisations with a geographically-scattered workforce who only normally contact their colleagues over the 'phone but who rely heavily on their contributions to carry out business. It also helps to mix staff responsible for different aspects of your business whose daily contact with one another is otherwise limited.
